The Truth Behind Why You Need Social Media Marketing

If you want a successful business, follow these truths behind using social media marketing.

Let’s look at Chris and her business as an example:

When she opened her small business, Chris knew she had to stay ahead of the curve. Social media was becoming increasingly popular, and she didn’t want to be left behind. She started by creating a Facebook and Twitter page for her business. She posted updates regularly and engaged her followers as much as possible. Chris also created a Pinterest board and started pinning photos of her products. And finally, she opened an Instagram account and began sharing Reels and using IGTV for her products.

Chris’s hard work paid off. Her business started gaining traction, and more and more people became interested in her products. She built a community of loyal customers, and her business continued to grow. Thanks to social media, Chris is ahead of the curve, and her company is prosperous.

Wherever people form communities, word-of-mouth marketing contributes to a good product or service. People love to share. If your business caters to its market’s most significant needs or wants, your community will become your biggest brand champion and probably tell the world about it and you. Your loyal community becomes your best and most convincing marketing agent; I should add a free agent.

She understood her community and the need to target the right people. Chris used social media to identify her target customer and create content [content is king] that would appeal to them.

The strategy worked like a charm. Chris’s business continued to grow, and she was able to continue to attract more customers. She was even featured in a magazine article about using social media to grow your business. Thanks to her clever marketing strategy and the help of her loyal customers, Chris’s business is a success.

You can use social media like Chris to narrow your target market or niche it down to reach the right buyers. This is useful in any marketing campaign because it produces a much better ROI when you target your best buyer.

When you know the profile of your target, you can talk directly to them, using the language they understands and that resonates with, on Facebook or any other platform.

Think about Pareto’s Law

Pareto’s Law for example, would say you make 80% of your sales or profits from 20% of your clients – The “80/20 Rule” applies to almost everything.

It’s much more effective to direct your social marketing efforts towards a targeted segment because they want your product, your service and to follow you as a leader. A shotgun approach is haphazard and is what you see used in traditional media. Social media marketing allowed Chris to niche down and focus on her groups with a higher likely hood of purchasing. Her targeted groups only need a little boost or persuasion to stoke their desire and get them to click the buy link.

You almost always win when you bring your business close to your consumers’ hearts. If you lead, they will follow. Social media is the perfect environment where good leaders thrive. Remember “be a good leader; your crowd will follow.”

Becoming a leader in your space takes persistence, consistency, and a strong message that resonates with your target market.

Social media marketing is a powerful business tool. You can use it to reach a wide range of audiences, build brand awareness and increase your sales.

Of course, it has been around for a while now, but it has only been in the last few years that we have seen social media take over as the most popular marketing medium.

Making social media marketing an integral part of any business’s strategy. This is how many companies prefer to invest their time and resources rather than other techniques that are not as effective.
